Reasons for excessively high vacuum pump temperature

(1)The motor has high power, large operating current, and high heat generation.
(2)The fan speed is low, with low air pressure and air volume.
(3)The fan has fewer blades, resulting in a small amount of air produced.
(4)The motor has accumulated dust and oil, reducing its heat dissipation capacity.
(5)The vacuum pump motor's bus voltage is 380V. Due to cable voltage drop and uneven load distribution, the actual voltage applied to the motor is only 365V, resulting in a large operating current due to low voltage.

The working principle of a water ring vacuum pump

The water ring vacuum pump is a common type of liquid ring vacuum pump. Liquid ring vacuum pumps have a rotor with multiple blades that is eccentrically mounted inside the pump casing. As it rotates, it throws the liquid towards the pump casing, forming a liquid ring concentric with the pump casing. The liquid ring and the rotor blades form a rotating variable displacement vacuum pump with periodically changing volume. When the working fluid is water, it is called a water ring pump. Water ring pumps are mainly used in processes requiring rough vacuum and large pumping capacity. They are widely used in the chemical, petroleum, light industry, pharmaceutical, and food industries, such as vacuum filtration, vacuum feeding, vacuum concentration, and vacuum degassing.

Daily operation and precautions for screw pumps

I. Daily Operation of Screw Pump

1. Monitor and record production data and current (amperage);

2. After stable production, measure the dynamic liquid level;

3. Monitor and record oil pressure:

(1) If packing leakage is serious, simply tighten the packing gland slightly;

(2) If maintaining low casing pressure does not cause airlock and can maintain pump efficiency;

(3) If oil pressure and current fluctuate, it indicates that the pump is operating in a binding-relaxing state. The main reason is that too much sand enters the pump body and accumulates. The sucker rod can be pulled out 3 meters (to the coupling), and then the pump body can be backflushed..

(4) If the current increases but the output decreases, it means waxing, and hot washing can be used while monitoring the dynamic liquid level;

(5) Check the lubricating oil level of the transmission shaft box. No need to add oil normally, add oil only when there is leakage. Products equivalent to automotive lubricating oil TM626 should be used;

(6) If you need to replace the packing, just replace the top five packings. No need to replace if there is no serious leakage;

(7) After one year of use, lubricating oil should be added to the motor;

(8) After 6 months of use, the lubricating oil of the transmission shaft box should be replaced, and so on;

(9) If the output decreases linearly, the problem should be wear and tear of the stator and rotor, and the speed can be increased until the output is restored; (can be increased to 450RPM) (motor pulley can be replaced).

 

II. Safety Precautions

1. Do not pull the sucker rod out of the drive head more than 60 centimeters;

2. When pulling out the rotor from the stator for backwashing, ensure that all personnel are at a safe distance when pulling up the sucker rod, and that no tools (such as wrenches) are left on the sucker rod until the rotor is completely pulled out of the stator;

3. When replacing the pulley, the sucker rod must be fixed first;

4. Do not use any chemical agents or diluted cleaning agents for dewaxing (such as chemical dewaxing agents, gasoline, diesel, etc.), hot washing (water, oil) can be used;

5. Do not start the pump when there is insufficient liquid (the pump body lacks heat dissipation and lubrication), which may cause pump shutdown or sand blockage of the pipeline.
