This type of pump uses an external cooler to automatically circulate and cool the gas rotor and pump body. The pump can operate continuously under high pressure difference without thermal overload. The pump can directly exhaust to the atmosphere. This pump has many advantages of ordinary Roots vacuum pumps and can be used in series with a fore pump or alone.

This type of pump uses an external cooler to automatically circulate and cool the gas rotor and pump body. The pump can operate continuously under high pressure differentials without thermal overload. The pump can directly exhaust to the atmosphere. This pump has many advantages of ordinary Roots vacuum pumps and can be used in series with a forepump or independently.

When used independently, the pump can directly utilize the low-temperature atmosphere from the exhaust port to return to the pump for cooling without using a cooler. The large pump can achieve an ultimate pressure of approximately 130 Pa. When this pump is used with itself or a conventional Roots vacuum pump, it can fully utilize the advantage of the Roots vacuum pump's oil-free vapor not contaminating the system being evacuated. This pump can also be connected in series with a forepump such as a liquid ring pump, reciprocating pump, or slide valve pump to achieve a high pumping speed close to the main pump's pumping speed in a high-pressure range. The combination can achieve different vacuum degrees in the range of 105 Pa to 5 x 10-2 Pa.

Because this type of pump has the above characteristics, it is widely used in occasions requiring high pumping speed with low ultimate pressure or occasions requiring clean, oil-free vacuum.
